Review of Kiss the Ground (2020) by Marjorie_Simms — 15 Jan 2021
Our farming methods need to be improved on. Despite the thousands of years humans have been able to grow crops, Kiss the Ground shows we have over-industrialized the process. Spending more time protecting our crops and not the soil they grow from.
We have created a dependency that, if not taken care of, can hurt us in the long run. Offering solutions as old as cultivation itself, Ray Archuleta, The Rodale Institute, and several ecological experts explain that we do not have to entirely ditch our practices; and instead incorporate more of what we left behind.
See how historical and tried and true processes can revive our civilizations in Kiss the Ground.
