Review of Kiss the Ground (2020) by Crb0707 — 09 Feb 2022
The documentary Kiss the Ground defines all the benefits of a healthy planet for all people in a beautiful and visually compelling way. Joshua and Rebecca Tickell, the directors of the film, have a gifted eye and understand the power of visuals to human understanding.
It’s impossible to deny the impact desertification has on our planet when it’s staring you right in the face. Regenerative agriculture is the solution the film places on the long-standing global issue of climate change.
There’s no denying it could work through the way land has been restored within the film in vast farmlands from China to North Dakota. The process of carbon fixation in the soil is easily understood by graphics overlaid on images of soil within the documentary.
Taking the time to sit down and watch this film means your going to leave with an entirely new perspective on climate change while also having a cinematic experience.
