Review of Kiss the Ground (2020) by Alyssapark — 15 Jan 2021
Most documentaries show a world without hope, but Kiss the Ground refuses to bend to that cynical norm. Directed by Joshua and Rebecca Tickell, Kiss the Ground rejects the common practice of making carbon and livestock the antagonist, instead showing the way that these parts of nature can work for us instead of against.
Regenerative agriculture, sequestering greenhouse gases, and soil conservation are just a few of the many solutions to our world's ubiquitous problem. This theme of unity rather than divide rings true throughout the film, and it couldn't have come at a better time.
I truly enjoyed this film and would highly recommend it.
