Review of The World of Apu (1959) by Codie E — 15 Jan 2009
With the exception of the original Star Wars trilogy, the finest and most consistent trilogy ever made. Satyajit Ray gives us exactly what we desire after following Apu through his early life, the film is truely beautiful and contains so many heartbreaking moments (Apu's wedding night speech, the conversation in the cab after the cinema).
