Review of The Last Exorcism (2010) by Matthew L — 08 Jun 2013
Starts off surprisingly well, with an unexpectedly thorough back story for the protagonist - one that is not as obvious as one might think. The film progresses nicely, with some nice faux documentary action.
The movie goes to complete hell, however, in the last few minutes which are not only goofy, but contradicts much of the action that preceded it. And once the big reveal takes place, what happens next is obvious and disappointing.
A ridiculously bad ending. The false ending was much more interesting and intelligent.
