Review of The Last Exorcism (2010) by Brian S — 02 Sep 2016
Not at all original, but a solid horror flick with an old-school feel. It could have been made as easily 50 years ago as in 2010. It builds suspense well and develops characters to the point that one actually cares what happens to them.
This is particularly true of Cotton Marcus, played with likeable cynicism and well-intentioned hubris by Patrick Fabian. A simple but effective twist ending results in a somewhat-expected but satisfying climax.
Well worth a watch for fans of the sub-genre.
