Review of The Enforcer (1976) by Wild Willie N — 31 Mar 2010
Ahhhhh THE ENFORCER - I don't know how many times I watched this on WKBD TV 50 Detroit as a kid...it seemed like the Dirty Harry films were on every other sunday afternoon back in the early to mid 1980's.
Anyhow, as much as I love this flick, I also don't seem to give it the proper respect for whatever reason. Maybe because it follows my favorite entry (Magnum Force), maybe because Tyne Daly is in it (and she is not bad in it at all), maybe because its the second weakest entry in the 5 movie series.
I don't know. And yet here it is with a 4 star rating. The Enforcer is still a great 70's era crime flick that because of its leaness - I can come back to it again and again. We got a nice Alcatraz shootout finale, Eastwood in top form with some great quotes as always, I mean really.
..its all good shit in the end.
