Review of The Enforcer (1976) by Jeff B — 11 Jul 2012
Laura Mulvey would have had a field day with this third chapter in the 'Dirty Harry' series, such is its anti-feminist stance. Indeed, poor old Tyne 'Cagney & Lacey' Daly has a hard time convincing a disgusted Harry and the boys she's up to the job of policing San Francisco's streets.
There's so much testosterone on show here you could grow a mustache just watching, while one of the death scenes deserves some sort of award for being the best worst acted death throes on celluloid.
It's not bad, it's not great, but as Sunday afternoon viewing goes...it's pretty good.
