Unless you read the book, the cheese factor was high. Otherwise it was a decent adaptation and worth seeing. If you haven't read the book then you're missing out on some backstory and details that slow down the spoilers and conflict.
The movie spent a bit too much time on the wrong things, but again... If you read the book you'll like the movie more.
