Review of The 5th Wave (2016) by Ey Y — 28 Jan 2018
A forgettable sci-fi action film that feels like a cross between Hunger Games and Maze runner, only far less captivating. After being terrorised by waves of earthquakes, Tsunamis, and Virus', it seems apparent that hopes of withstanding the 5th wave lie largely with a group of youngsters who have been segregated from the adults for their supposed safety.
With relatively poor battle sequences, this relies largely on its storyline to try and entertain its audience, but with nothing original in its locker, this falls way short in its enticement levels.
