Review of Sophie's Choice (1982) by Michael H — 10 Dec 2010
Meryl excruciatingly and joyfully dives into Sophie's torment, her loves, her pain. Even though early in her career, she seems to have already mastered the art of acting on film. Her character is smart, sexy, hilarious, so alive - yet dead.
It's arguably the greatest piece of film acting - male or female - ever.
