Review of Sophie's Choice (1982) by Ian E — 14 Jun 2017
This three-hour 1982 film tells a heartbreaking story about aspiring author Stingo heading to Brooklyn where he befriends mentally unstable Nathan and a Polish refugee Sophie Zawistowska. Her strong performance gave Meryl Streep her second Oscar, she masters the Polish accent and the Polish and German languages as the excellent actress she is.
Profound music, great cinematography and a poignant script.
