Review of Satyricon (1969) by Wezul S — 15 Sep 2014
Part Clash of the Titans, part Salo, this episodic film about the debauchery of ancient Rome is over pretentious, even for Fellini. Of course it's beautiful, but the story is lacking structure & the characters are caricatures at best.
Honestly, this is arthouse dribble, ironically from one of cinema's greatest auteurs.
