Review of Harlan County U.S.A. (1977) by Jonathon B — 06 Jun 2007
This film defines documentary, because it does document life, and not the good parts, either. What is shown is how unions opperate and how corperations react against union interest towards profit motive.
It's gritty enough to pass for italian neo-realism, but has one thing going for it Fellini never had: IT'S REAL.
