Review of From Here to Eternity (1953) by Brian K — 16 Jan 2008
One of the greatest treats in cinematic history. Filled with great characters who are portrayed flawlessly. Montgomery Clift puts on an acting clinic and in my humble opinion turns every role into a supporting role compared to his multi-layered, very impressive portrayal of pvt.
Robert E. Lee Prewitt. Burt Lancaster is, well, Burt Lancaster as he always is, and does a fantastic job. Frank Sinatra is an absolute joy to watch and is as charismatic and funny as I have ever seen from a performance.
Incredible film.
