Review of From Here to Eternity (1953) by Mark F — 27 Jun 2015
I don't really get the appeal of this movie. Nothing works out well! Everyone you might get attached to along the way ends up dying or not getting the girl...or both. I'm glad I've seen it just so I know what that kissing scene in the waves is all about, but I don't think I'll be in a hurry to watch it again.
And above all, Mary Hatch should be back home with George Bailey...not out on the randan with this Prewitt character!
