Review of Autumn Sonata (1978) by Vijay V — 23 Jun 2010
Feelings are often misjudged or rather interpreted as sentimentality....this is a story of a mother and daughter, both expecting from each other their share of love but at the same time afraid to loose, so they put it out in form of their demands......i can't decide at the end who is more guilty...but this movie taught me a lot about human relations and emotions attached to them.I'll quote one dialogue,.
" you talked of my hatred, your hatred is no less"...one more," a sense of reality is a matter of talent, most people lack that talent.".
I bow to Ingmar Bergman, for making such a simple and wonderful movie!!!!!
