I'm not a person who always likes the book better, but this was one novel that just couldn't be turned into a <2 hour movie. It felt very superficial and rushed because so much ground had to be covered.
It was OK, worth watching if you watch a lot of movies. My husband enjoyed it more than I did and that may be because he hadn't read the book.
