A great real life drama that shows an in depth look at the dark and ugly side of a young girls coming of age story and her relationship with her eccentric and cynical mother played by Michelle Pfeiffer.
Alison Lohman plays Astrid, a young girl who drifts from one foster home to the next after her mother is sent to prison for murder. It's a dark and sad story, but worth checking out.
