Review of White Oleander (2002) by Paul K — 16 Aug 2011
Not a bad movie - Hollywood does Hollywood stories quite well. it's not very relevant to the lives of the rest of us, of course. Reading the novel's synopsis in Wikipedia, I can see that great chunks of the original story have been excised, which makes the movie less credible and harder to follow.
However the acting is good and so too is the characterisation, although it's a little stereotyped.
