Where should I start? Two love stories that struggle to connect, the numerous back and forth between the two stories that doesn't satisfy either, the few anachronisms, the self congratulating script.
.. I don't understand the choice of telling the story of Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson apart from trying to attract an audience. I was left with a feeling of having been told a story very superficially and asked to acknowledge some grand emotions just because.
..? It's a confused film that doesn't really know where it's going and wanders aimlessly through beautiful photography and decent acting. Too bad for the actors.
