Review of Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead (1995) by Dave A — 19 Feb 2008
Underrated crime drama with thriller overtones, sees Garcia as a reformed mobster who heads a crew to follow through with a personal favor for paraplegic mobster Walken, but as it is with all crime films, things never go right and the deeply unhappy mobster puts a hit on their heads.
Treat Williams is truly underrated as a truly unstable but likeable goon who uses corpses as punching bags and Buscemi as an incredibly freaky hitman who doesn't emote. Thanks to other performances by Walken as a venerable scene stealer and Christopher Lloyd as a neurotic leper porno movie projectionist, this is a surprisingly good film that never quite found the audience it deserved.
