Review of The Young and the Damned (1950) by Carolina R — 10 Aug 2010
This is what "Cidade De Deus" would have been like if it had been made in the 1950's. Outstanding and brave realist filmmaking on the part of Buñuel. It does a good job of showcasing the empty promises of the Porfiriato and the Mexican Revolution, how they adversely affected the lives of the poor in Mexico City.
