Review of The Wolf Man (1941) by Jeff D — 07 Jan 2012
The Wolf Man is a classic Universal monster movie for a reason. Claude Rains and Lon Chaney elevate this werewolf tale into something more than just a b-movie. The atmosphere is fantastic despite the limited number of set pieces.
The ever-present fog is perfectly married to the creepy film score. Danny Elfman fans will notice a few similarities between this score and his score for the 1989 Batman film.
