Review of The Warriors (1979) by Meg J — 25 Jul 2010
My husband absolutely loved this movie! it was pretty ridiculous - a bunch of New York gangs are after the Warriors, a gang from Coney Island. the other gangs' costumes were hilarious - silent baseball bat toting Yankees with faces painted, roller skating and overall wearing hoodlums, and a ragamuffin group wearing just t-shirts and jeans called "the orphans.
" I loved David Patrick Kelly in the movie - I know him best from Twin Peaks as Jerry Horne. He's the one who improvised the scene where he clanks three beer bottles together and taunts "WARRIORS! COME OUT AND PLAY-E-AY!" I mostly just loved watching my husband roll in his chair from laughter! Oh, and the soundtrack is pretty awesome too!
