Review of Zardoz (1974) by Robert B — 19 Jul 2015

Now i'm not going to say that this is a good film, because it really is a terrible film. However, if you watch this film the way me and my friends did (drinking 7 pints of larger), you will have a very fun time with this film.

For months after we would quote the great stone head to the point of near insanity and worshiped Zardoz and created a religion based around the great teachings of Zardoz, "The gun is good! The Penis is evil!".

We then watched the film sober ... we then realised why we had watched the film under the influence of alcohol the first time round. The film is just awful. I mean the plot is just bizzare (if you can even call it a plot) the acting is shockinhg but that's why Zardoz holds a place in my heart.

Yes it is a terrible film, but it is so bad, that in my heart, it is a classic. I feel like I shouldn't explain the plot of the film (to be honest I don't think I could if I tried), just grab a few beers, order a pizza, sit back, and enjoy the experience.
