Review of The Virgin Spring (1960) by Eric K — 07 Jan 2010
A very difficult-to-watch, but powerful revenge film. A teenager on her way to church is raped, robbed, and murdered. Unknowingly, the 3 destitute killers seek shelter from the cold at the home of her parents.
They're discovered when attempting to sell the looted clothing back to the horrified mother. Certainly not an uplifting film by any stretch of the imagination, make sure to bring a bit of extra mettle along for the viewing experience.
