Review of The Unbelievable Truth (1990) by Jacqueline R — 24 Oct 2007
I used to get into quite a few arguments over what Hal Hartley film is better (Unbelievable Truth or Trust). OK Trust is more realistic with a believable plot and deeper characters but this was the first film of Hal Hartely's I saw and fall in love with his trade marks, such as repeating of sentances/words.
I saw it in the 1990's when Chanel 4 had a "made in the USA" season, show casing all of America's 80's indepentant films. I enjoyed almost all of them but this together with Metropolitian was my favourite.
