Review of The Unbelievable Truth (1990) by Simon D — 07 Jul 2011

Another overrated Hal Hartley film. There seems to be no main plot in this film, just a handful of subplots, none of which are particularly interesting. I am once again surprised to see this described as a comedy, I completely missed any attempt at humour.

I noticed the director attempting to be quirky at several points in the film, all of which were totally out of place as the rest of the film, the cast, the story, and the direction was completely dull.
