Review of The Third Man (1949) by Brendan P — 07 Jun 2009
Legitimately a perfect movie. I'm talking top ten material here, easily. Brilliant direction from Carol Reed, flawless screenplay, and some fantastick performances, with Joseph Cotten at the heart of it all.
His love for Alida Valli, while unreturned is so honest, and the emotional soul of this film. And of Orson Welles is absoluitely incredible in his few minutes of screentime. he also has one of the greatest entrances here in screen history.
I don't think I could ever praise this one enough.
