Review of The Third Man (1949) by Jay S — 03 Feb 2018
One of those films that can't be said as "good for its time" because the truth is, it's just gonna be good for anytime. The cinematography is outstanding the way it sets up this very mysterious atmosphere, the performances from Wells and Cotten are Oscar worthy and the plot as a whole is just so intriguing.
The character depth is essentially the icing on the cake to make this mystery thriller stand the test of time for decades and decades to come.
