Review of The Third Man (1949) by Laurence B — 17 Feb 2013
A classic. Film Noir at it's all time best. Best British film ever. What is there else to say? Story is captivating, the scripting and acting is truly wonderful and the cinemography and score is excuisite.
The last shot of the seemingly never ending path as Holly Martins waits for the lonely Alida Valli, that famous theme tune by Anton Karas rolls in - making a beautiful ending to a magnificent film.
