Review of The Ten Commandments (1956) by Barry S — 05 Sep 2009
Good performances by Heston and Yul Brynner. Edward G. Robinson makes a surprisingly good biblical villain. Some excellent epic spectacles particularly in the second half. Did it really need to be nearly four hours though? Cecil B.
Demille himself warns you of the movie's length at the very beginning. A good hour or so could have been cut out.
