Review of The Ten Commandments (1956) by Nick G — 02 Apr 2010
Regardless of religious beliefs or historical accuracy, this is a bombastic and entertaining movie classic that is true spectacle in every sense of the word. The crowning achievement of the golden age of Hollywood complete with a cast of thousands and epic set pieces that still have yet to be equaled.
A perfect example of the type of movie made when it was making movies, not money, that was what Hollywood took pride in. They don't make them like this anymore!
