Charlton Heston and Yul Brynner carry the film with epic performances that match the epic story and production. So much so that anyone who sees it will forever think of Moses as Charlton Heston and Ramses as Brynner.
It represents the pinnacle of both their film careers and showcases the immense talent and screen charisma of each. And as a director of epic proportions, DeMille creates his greatest masterpiece as a film that will last for generations.
More than 60 years later it has done just that as there is no remaking or surpassing this telling of the story.
