Review of The Spitfire Grill (1996) by Eric M — 05 Mar 2014
This is one of those films that is incredibly underrated. Superbly written and directed by Lee David Zlotoff, he took us into a world of small town prejudice and bigotry that we had not seen before- the American Northeast.
It basically goes to show that it can happen anywhere, to anyone (not just the stereotypical "south"). A beautiful story about second, and third chances. As well as the people we need to get them from and give them to.
Highly recommended.
