Review of Electroma (2006) by Robert M — 09 Apr 2011
Electroma has some great cinematography. Every shot in this film is truly a work of art. Unfortunately it is not without its other problems. A single frame alone out of context is interesting but when shown as one the pace becomes incredibly slow.
They could have easily taken this footage and made a decent three minute music video off of it if it wasn't for the next problem. There is no Daft Punk music in here. I heard going into this that Daft Punk didn't have much of a soundtrack in here.
I decided even a little Daft Punk would be great but it is next to zero. The only audio played seemed to be song clips from the 70s. Daft Punk's original score consisted of a single bass note played throughout the movie.
It was so annoying to listen to after a minute I had to turn off my subwoofer and lower the volume on my home theatre.
