Review of The Shootist (1976) by Luke T — 15 Mar 2007
It's John Wayne's last film, and everyone knows he's dying of cancer. It's his farewell, with him staring death in the face. There is really no other way for him to go out... but this film is really hard for me to watch.
It rings a little too true, seing the Duke struggle to breath, and you look in his eyes, and he knows full that death is knocking.
