Its hard to say goodbye, and watching this film after the sad loss of a great man and actor, it becomes even harder. This is John Waynes farewell to his fans and audience of many years with grace and no tears, The Shootist is a perfect send off for one of the words greatest cowboys.
R.I.P John Wayne.
