I realize they shot it this way because in the 50s, there weren't easy ways to see the Irish countryside without actually going there. But nowadays, I don't have the patience to watch people stroll through the countryside for half of the movie.
Oh, and the "longest brawl ever filmed" was 85% shots of the crowd taking bets on the fight.
