Review of The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946) by Senor C — 05 Feb 2011
The Postman Always Rings Twice is really good for the most part that sorta loses it in the 2nd half & is a bit of a strain due to length. The sexual tension between Lana Turner & John Garfield can be cut w/ a knife even if they never hop into bed together.
Turner's first appearance sorta left me breathless that I even has to check out her ass. She sure was a hottie but sorta has this bitchiness that I found sexy. She is the standout performance in this even though the entire cast is solid.
Stands up really well over the passage of time & doesn't feel dated @ all.
