Review of The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946) by Tim R — 20 Jan 2015
A truly wonderful film with not a weak moment. James M. Cain's novel is electrified for the screen. Hume Cronyn is superb as the archetypical slick lawyer. Cecil Kellaway' s penny pinching drunk is memorable.
Most of all Garfield, in concert with a truly gorgeous young Lana Turner, shows what a complete artist the world lost when Kazan and his dark fraternity murdered him.
