An uncomfortable crescendo of voyeuristic, masochistic and sadistic actions beautifully builds to a deliciously underwhelming climax. Isabelle Huppert's performance as the severely sexually repressed piano teacher is wonderful.
A painful film written and directed by Michael Haneke.. "BRAVO!".
