Review of The Phantom of the Opera (1925) by Becky H — 28 Apr 2008
I had the opportunity to see this at the School of the Arts last weekend, as part of the River Run Film Festival. Honestly, I was astounded. I don't know if seeing it on the big screen and with a live band made a key difference, but the movie was.
.. well, delicious. It contains some real artistic surprises. Honestly, this will go down as one of my favorite movies. I highly recommend, but keep in mind, it is a silent film. So, the experience is a bit different.
