Review of The Numbers Station (2013) by Roxanne R — 14 Aug 2013
"The Code has never been compromised until now"...An interesting concept from writer F. Scott Frazier and director Kasper Barfoed. A CIA black ops agent named Emerson (John Cusak) goes on a mission and in order to take care of loose ends, he is unable to kill an innocent girl but his partner named Grey (Liam Cunningham) finishes the job.
Many years later Grey becomes his boss and assigns him to an easy job: guarding Katherine (Malin Akerman) a code operator at a top secret CIA facility where encrypted messages are sent utilizing number sequences.
An enemy infiltrates and it is up to Emerson to clean any loose ends but can he do it this time. The acting and suspense were good; most of the film takes place in one location and overall good effort behind the cast and crew.
Glad to see that Netflix recommended this one to me on my top 10 category. Recommended!
