Review of The Mummy (1959) by Christopher B — 23 Jul 2017
Lee and Cushing are truly fantastic, both actors just embrace polarising characters of good and bad, especially that of Cushing who I absolutely adored. Plot wise It's everything you've seen before, yet the production design and English charm just bring a wonderful dynamic of dread, despair and immersion.
The make-up effects are terrific and incredibly ahead of its time.
