Review of The Messenger (2009) by Ian M — 06 Jun 2010
This movie is about emotion. How good this movie is was not based on the writing so much as it was based on the ability of the actors to portray emotion. That being said, these actors were great. I am a huge Ben Foster, Woody Harrelson, and Steve Buscemi fan.
And, while the first two held 85% of the screen time, everybody did a phenomenal job. It really makes you see how difficult that job has to be and how horrible it has to feel delivering such news to families.
Aside from the acting, I really found myself interested in the motivation for Will's actions/reactions throughout the movie. Great Stuff.
