Review of The Messenger (2009) by Dan G — 26 Feb 2014
One of the tougher jobs in the Army could very well be the one that doesn't involve combat. How does one work up the courage to tell an unknowing person that their loved one was killed on duty? It's unfathomable to think, but this movie raises awareness of the job as well as giving some great character insight to its two main protagonists, from Woody Harrelson's hard-shelled Captain Stone character to Ben Foster's multi-layered Will Montgomery.
Most poignant was the dynamic with Steve Buscemi.
