Robert Altman and Elliot Gould go together so perfectly, like a nice food/wine pairing, Altman's stripped-down neo-noir looks at a slightly sleazier side of L.A. than most films before this one. I would watch Elliot Gould feed a cat.
Oh, wait! This movie lets me do that!
