Review of The Letter (1940) by Deering R — 26 Apr 2008
This William Wyler 1940 remake of the original 1929 movie is a great watch. Bette plays the wife of a rubber plantation owner. They live there in Malaysia on the plantation and one night while he is away at work she guns down a man in their front yard - and the plot thickens.
..heh-heh-hehhh. Intrigue and murder looks great on Betty Davis. One of her best performances and a really great classic movie.
